Honoring Ruth Bader Ginsburg
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg died on Friday night after 27 years serving on the Supreme Court, amongst her other accomplishments. She was a leading force in securing women’s rights in the workforce and in society and will be sorely missed. Ruth Bader Ginsburg also taught us some important lessons about resilience during challenging times. As business owners, we can take a few lessons from the influence of RBG. She taught us to stand up for what we believe in, even if those beliefs are different from everyone else’s. She also taught us to stay true to our core values and principles. Let’s explore some of these lessons in our business.
The Importance of Dissent
Nothing is more important in this polarized world than embracing other opinions and approaches. When we open our world to other methods and ideas, we create a more adaptable business. RBG taught us the importance of dissent and standing up for ourselves in the face of opposition. Constructive conflict is something that is important in our business. In these uncertain times, it is important to look at all options and consider alternatives to our traditional approaches
2. Embrace Your Foundational Principles
During this time, alter your business practices, not your principles. Dig into your core values, stress the importance in your business and with your clients and embrace your business foundation. RBG stuck to her principles and embraced her cultural identity, and that’s what made her into the icon she was known for. Understanding and reinforcing this foundation in our business will help us strengthen our business through these economic challenges.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of RBG this week, but we understand the impact she made with her strength and status.
Let’s talk about a custom plan to have a strong culture of communication in your business. Create the business that invites a true connection with clients.
